Released to celebrate The King's Man movie - a prequel in the Kingsman movies - this 29-year-old GlenDronach is the oldest bottling we've seen released from the distillery in some years. Distilled in 1989, this Highland single malt was initially matured in Oloroso sherry casks before being transferred and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks - indeed a match made in heaven.
Master Blender Rachel Barrie worked closely with film director Matthew Vaughn on this release, selecting casks with the most exceptional character. Barry describes the finish with "notes of blackberry, tobacco leaf and date oil linger to conclude the rich tasting experience." Bearing the emblem of the Kingsman films, 3,052 bottles of this 1989 vintage were produced.
