Sealed. Discontinued. In 1900, Ramon Cifuentes Llano and Jose Fernandez acquired the Partagas factory, which later became solely owned by the Cifuentes family and renamed Cifuentes y Cia. After the Cuban Revolution in 1959, the government nationalized the cigar industry and took over the Partagas factory. Today, Cifuentes is a discontinued brand and the Partagas brand is managed by Habanos S.A. that since 1994 oversees the promotion, distribution, and export of premium Cuban cigars globally.
